CANDLE COTTAGE TO OPEN NEW STORE
What started as a small candle store has become a thriving business supplying products to customers globally. Now the Candle Cottage is preparing to move into a larger store, says owner Shanna Ferro.
Shanna & Tony started experimenting with wax and additives to create what they felt would be the perfect candle. This was done behind their home in an efficiency apartment.
Through a dreaded fire, their son falling ill with mastoiditis at age two, road construction to hurricane Rita, The Candle Cottage continues to find it's way to the top.
They are grateful and appreciative to their current customer base of 50,000 folks. After outgrowing their current location the first year they moved in, they managed to make it work. Until now it's time for an expansion to get under way.
The Candle Cottage moved from behind their home to their current location in 2001. Shanna has begun thinking of better ways to meet the needs of folks.
"Our world gets more difficult as time goes by. There is nothing more comforting than nostalgic memories and an Old Country Store setting when life was so simple," Shanna said.
Without giving too many details, The Candle Cottage is working hard to design a larger store to accommodate her handmade candles, big jars of old-fashioned candy, homemade jellies, unique gifts and much more to your surprise.
A country store is something every small community once had. The new store will be designed so that folks can take their time, travel back to the olden days while being greeted by their friendly staff, and purchasing the BEST HOMEMADE CANDLES IN TEXAS!
